Fees and insurance

Understand the consultation fees and follow-up support and how to arrange an insurance claim.

Payment and claims

Explore your options

Pay and claim back

Usually, clients pay when booking and then claim reimbursement from their insurer. Many insurers ask for the receipt and the report provided after the consultation. Check your policy’s requirements and cover.

Arrange a direct claim

If your insurer accepts direct claims, pay the excess when booking and ask the insurer to pay us directly. Raise the claim before the consultation date.

If the insurer declines it, you remain responsible for the outstanding balance within the stated payment period.

Other payment arrangements

Payment plans may be available for dog behaviour consultations. Clients of the Veterinary Hospital, Lincoln, receive a £50 discount on the initial consultation when paying us directly; this is deducted from the invoice. Ask the team to confirm your arrangement.

Additional veterinary costs

Tests, procedures and medication provided by your own veterinary practice are charged separately from our behaviour consultation and follow-up support.
